Ami, a chemist, is asked by her best friend, investigator Shine Asahina, to investigate the ingredients of a certain supplement. Ami realizes that the chemical formula of the supplement is very similar to that of an ingredient found in the body of a woman who escaped from the Yagami Medical Clinic, which had been under investigation for allegedly using illegal substances in its treatment. Ami sets out to further elucidate the ingredients in the hope of helping Shion, who is too absorbed in the investigation, but just as she is about to do so, she is abducted by someone.
