This spring, when our oldest daughter started kindergarten, my wife started working part-time as a side dish vendor at a supermarket in front of the station. I had been a housewife raising a child until then, so I, as her husband, was smiling at her as she seemed to be enjoying her work, thinking that it was good for the family financially. Recently, however, I noticed that my wife was having tea and chatting at home with a young man around her age who works part-time at the same supermarket.
